Live Shrimp fishing along the mangroves my be one of my favorite ways to target redfish and snook. Kayak fishing Tampa bay can make it challenging to catch these fish with how much pressure they get from boaters every day, but we went out and had a very successful fishing day. I was rocking the Old Town AutoPilot 120 and my brother Clay was using my Old Town Salty PDL 120. These kayaks make our fishing adventures much more pleasurable. Fishing mangroves with live shrimp for redfish was the way to go on this particular day. I wanted Craig and Clay to get on a redfish or snook. I wasn’t stressing catching the fish because I knew we would get on some. A lot of Kayak fishing tips were given in this video so make sure you pay attention and you will become a better kayak fisherman. The live shrimp rig that we were using today was a popping cork and a 25lb leader. You need a beefy leader otherwise these redfish and snook will pull you straight into the mangroves.
